Class 56103 running Solo powering away from Wimbledon this afternoon with a shortened wagon load, working 6Y20 Cliffe Brett Marine to Chessington South Sidings.

Class 56045 is currently at Aylesbury on duties over the next few days.

Class 68007 “30 Years of DRS” & 68003 “Astute” are seen standing just outside Dungeness railhead crane terminal yesterday lunchtime, while the FNA wagon was loaded with waste from Dungeness B Nuclear Power station.

68007 Sure did look good in the sun !👌

A great afternoon at the East Kent Railway yesterday doing the Class 73130 driver experience taster.

Had never been inside a Class 73 cab before, let alone driven one. Certainly an interesting experience and was fun!

Class 73130 seen on the East Kent Railway Today…

73130 is a unquie locomotive, as it is the only remaining Class 73 to retain Scharfenberg couplers from its Eurostar days, between 1994 & 2007 it was used to rescue Eurostar trains in the rare occasion of a train failure.

The usual Thursday commute to Hollingbourne. The days are getting shorter, and sunrise is getting later, so quiet a bit of the journey is in the dark. Although the sunrise as I walk between Maidstone barracks & East is always a delight.

Class 73212 & 73119 are seen making a unusual appearance on the Network Rail PLPR Test train at Kensington Olympia & Willesden Junction this morning, working 1Z69 Tonbridge West Yard To Derby RTC.

Class 73/9s were unavailable, 212 & 119 were pulled into to assist.
