All bought at Salem, MA’s Witch Fiber Festival

Not an #indiedyer but an #indieyarn I JUST picked up today is Lillooet Sheep & Cheesery in Boxford, MA. They use every part of their sheep and make a wonderful fisherman’s worsted wool. This natural skein will make a cozy hat gift for the holidays.

Are we on week 69 of #showmeyourknits? I lovelovelove indie dyers and am fortunate to have a wonderful local one @toilandtroubleyarn.bsky.social
I used a Samhain limited edition to make my Making Waves shawl 🧶

Here’s a link to the next project pattern. I think it will be refreshing to follow someone else’s before diving into more original ideas.

#showmeyourknits week 67 is WIPs. While I have about 3-4 inches left to knit on my Valentine Sweater, I’m already prepping my next projects.

Week 66 of #showneyourknits is show me your CABLES. 🧶

My Valentine Cable sweater is coming along nicely!

A fitting memorial for a horrible piece of history.
A new Scottish tartan memorializing the (mainly) female victims of the Witchcraft Act has been officially registered, created by Claire Mitchell and Zoe Venditozzi, founders of the Witches of Scotland campaign #WomensArt

I love reading how folks have repurposed their #feltedproject #horrorstories for #showmeyourknits this week. Resilience and creativity in action! 🧶

Gather round for a couple knitting #horrorstories for Week 65 of #showmeyourknits

1-The time I opened the dryer to find TheKid’s #AnimalCrossing sweater felted beyond repair.
2- When I realized I left my Purlbreak Shawl hanging on the porch of a resort to dry after I left the country. 😭

OK, so that big push last week was not fruitful. #Knitting away all cocky while watching TV and held up my work to evaluate it when I noticed a #droppedstitch tucked just before the ribbing starts. Now that it’s fixed, I’ll try it on again tomorrow before binding off.

For week 64, we’re HEADING up (😬); show me your HATS (& headwear)! 🧶 #showmeyourknits

I’m making a big push to finish the body of this sweater today! Conditions are perfect: n’oreaster blowing outside, day off, cat firmly planted on my lap.

Week 63 theme is #spookyknits for #showmeyourknits
I don’t really have any, but my black cat is featured in this #catstack portrait set of our cats. Does that count?

Week 61 of #showmeyourknits is show me something that brings you JOY 🎉 or that you have #knit to CARE 💕 for others.
Each year I make teacher gifts during the holidays to show my appreciation for my kid’s teachers. These little cable trees are ones I made last year.

We’re on week 60 of #showmeyourknits 🧶 and the theme is #autumn ! My favorite season partially because it means time to wear knits again! This #ColdPineShawl by Caitlin ffrench is a go-to in my wardrobe.

#ShowMeYourKnits week 59: show me your scarves

This striped scarf is still kicking around since 2009. One solid blue skein and a fun Noro Silk Garden Lite to create the gradient.

Time for another round of ‘What’s on Your Needles?’ 🧶Week 58 of #ShowMeYourKnits

I’ve stalled out on this sweater project and grabbed a crochet hook to make a #decahedronstar for a friend’s baby that was born earlier this year. More time for #WIPs as the farm season swings to an end next month!

Sweaters for #showmeyourknits week 57! This time around I’ll share the first custom sized sweater I made at a workshop at @circleofstitches.bsky.social where Ana introduced me to Jane Richmond’s Ladies Classic Raglan Sweater pattern that launched many original designs of mine.

#showmeyourknits week 56 is something you made for a baby and it’s a special one because it was the first non-square thing I knit thinking a baby sock would be easier than other projects 😂

#showmeyourknits Week 55 is #stripes 🧶
Always a fun element in knits. For this #pulloversweater I purled where the arm stripes would go and stitched them in afterwards. Worked great!
August 16, 2025 at 2:19 PM
#showmeyourknits week 54 is scraps! The Stash Busting Poncho took care of a lot of extra yarn kicking around.
August 10, 2025 at 6:06 PM
#showmeyourknits week 53 is #shawls and I’ve made many. Boneyard Shawl by Stephen West made with Cryptic Hollow Fibers fingering weight in Astral Sea (loved this yarn I got at the 1st Fiber Witch Festival) and Malabrigo Yarn Mechita in Paprika. Love the drape and feel of these yarns.

Happy anniversary #showmeyourknits! It has been a joy to share and search every weekend to see what everyone in this community has created. I love this part of #BlueSky.

For knitter’s choice, I present the Captain Salty and L’il Salt sweaters made for my boys. (Deets in alt text.)

#summerknits is the theme for #showmeyourknits this week and it reminds me that I left Odele by Amy Christoffers unfinished years ago. Now I’m inspired to pull it out! www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

Blue is the theme for #showmeyourknits and it’s made me realize I haven’t made much with just blue. Which surprises me. Here’s a close up of a scarf made in a broomstick lace pattern. A gift that I never got a proper photo of.
