A solid foundation is important and that foundation 9/10 is MMPR

Guarantee if you show a picture of a random Power Rangers series outside of MMPR the average person will say 'that LOOKS LIKE Power Rangers'

Also, I don't think it needs to be adult orientated, but needs better overall quality from the acting, story to the visuals which would result in something adults and kids can enjoy - TMNT is a good example

Lastly - take it from someone who has sat in meetings with execs and marketing trying to Market new characters in the Star Wars universe, you need a link to what's known globally before you can truly do something new. That's how the masses think unfortunately

All this to say step outside your bubble, they want this to be loved by as many people as possible not JUST the fandom - My Mum had no idea Power Rangers was still on TV to get to 30 years, but she sure as shit remembers MMPR. They need to cast a wide net

I get the fatigue you feel, but if the poster child for the brand doesn't perform there's zero chance of getting to your personal favourite series

If you are a fan of the brand you should support it (if it's good quality, looking at you Ninja Kidz)...

Do you really think if the global face of the brand (MMPR), not just to fans but to the layman under performs they'll say 'well, maybe we should try a Power Rangers series that ISN'T known worldwide'??
