This is a similar problem to AI, so combining quantum and AI will take a lot of time.

I guess we shall see where it goes, but I am hopeful that quantum computing will make our systems more secure.

I know it will come with negative impacts, but again, I am hopeful we will manage 🙏

So, in theory, you do not see any positive outcomes from the adoption of quantum computing

Not even enhanced security measures and additional encryption using quantum?

AI Does Not Have The Capability To Compute 'Reason' Without Input. AI can not currently scale well either.

I understand, I caught the tail end of a conversation and inserted myself, so I apologize.

I am just curious as to why you believe Blockchain Tech will be the first to be attacked.

Much Respect For The Intellectual and Factual Debate.
December 12, 2024 at 6:18 PM
So, with that being said, why is Blockchain Technology the first on your radar as an attack?

Why isn't the major worry about defense systems and financial systems that use the same sort of encryption / decryption.
December 12, 2024 at 6:11 PM
So, you have limited the amount of direct impact that quantum computing will have, and the nature of how it will be used by simply limiting the number of people who can even afford it.

If the tech is out of reach, except for those already in power, our biggest risk from quantum computing is war.
December 12, 2024 at 6:10 PM
Well, the positive in that is Blockchain Technology becomes more secure along the way, along with the financial sector as a whole. We talked about Google bringing out their quantum computer chips.

What if we could scale quantum computing quickly & securely? Is this not a positive thing?
December 12, 2024 at 5:56 PM
That's the negative side of things again. What about the enhancements to security systems that use quantum computing to fight quantum attacks? It's not like we haven't had new technology that beat our old technology up before.

We just had to adapt and use new technologies to combat it.
December 12, 2024 at 5:49 PM
I understand how transactions are verified, but what I am saying is that maybe quantum computing will enhance these already existing systems.

Yes, Bitcoin would need an upgrade, but that isn't the craziest thing we've seen.

Google may bring quantum to scale and enhance security before it does.
December 12, 2024 at 5:46 PM
Lol, so are defense systems, the entirety of the financial system, and many more..

How about the positive side of things, where quantum computing actually enhances security for systems like defense and blockchain?

There Is Never One Side.

That's awesome,
Congratulations 🎉

While Memecoins Come and Go, Most Successful Blockchain Enthusiasts Have Made Their Money In Bitcoin and Altcoins That Outpreform The Markets.

The Rare Occurance That a Memecoin Millionaire Is Made, Is Usually Due To The Direct Involvement In The Development & Promotion of The Said Memecoin.

Dogecoin Wasn't The First, and It May Not Be The Last Either, But What We Can Be Sure of, Is The Rare Occurance In Which a Memecoin Actually Finds a Use.

Onboarding Through Memecoins Is Not Only Irresponsible, But Dangerous Monetarily and To The Integrity of The Cryptocurrency Space.

Even Dogecoin Falls Under This Category To a Certain Extent..

Without Revenue Streams and Network Reliance, It Is Built Solely On The 'Family and Friends' Model of Marketing.

Using It As a Payment Solution Was The Forced Use Case To Get The Attention It Needed.

Lol, That's a Good One!

I Meant It More as Centralized Control Over The Price, Not The Actual Network Itself. Also Explained a Little More About How The Price Is Not Necessarily Important.
December 12, 2024 at 1:56 AM
Correct again, my last post explained that exactly!

I appreciate the comments and intelligent responses.

I'm really enjoying the sentiment on BlueSky so far.

Other Posts Explain How Current Price Impact Doesn't Necessarily Stop The Trajectory of Bitcoin Growth, But How It Can Effect The Price and How We Accumulate In The Future.
December 11, 2024 at 11:18 PM
You're correct. There is no centralized control because the network is controlled by people from around the globe.

The issue isn't that Bitcoin is Centralized, the issue is that Centralized Institutional Investors can influence markets and drive the current price of Bitcoin.
