One of the things I hate about a #smartwatch is that I have to charge it. I forget to put it back on all the time. I just set a reminder in my #todo app to put it back on in a bit.

I've been using a app called Super Productivity for tracking my various #tasks for my #computer #hobby. It is quick to use and tracks tasks and times well. github.com/johannesjo/s...

Just discovered #parcellite for clipboard management on #linux. I was getting bored of copy and pasting stuff from #notes repeatedly and realized someone had to of made something to manage the clipboard. Why did I never think of this before in my 25 years of working with computers?

Two weeks ago I got a SFTP server setup for first time. I went through the pain of #learning setting up users, transferring files, watching for it getting full, and things like that. The big accomplishment is I actually finished writing up what is setup and few little reminders of how to do things.

Just realized I can embed files from my #nas into #logseq. Silly me thought I was limited to #youtube videos! I think a little to small sometimes.

Just fixed my first SMART error on Unraid by just clicking "Acknowledge"! Stressed about that alart for a few weeks and didn't realize it was so easy to fix! Who needs to worry about "Reallocated sector count" anyways! 😅

Over the last two weeks I've moved from a concept of a plan to a written outlined plan to #backup data from my various apps. I've been tracking my #mood, #habits, and other stuff for two years but I don't have any proper backup. Very silly since that information is literally not replaceable.

Trying out #librewolf this weekend. I've been using #brave and #firefox for the last 6 months. Chrome before that 🫣

Now that I'm getting more comfortable with #selfhosted tools I'm going to start going back and pulling my data out of old tools suchs as Evernote and Pocket. Clean up my digital footprint a little bit I guess.

Updated one #server and locked myself out of another. This was a pretty successful night.

I've used a #pkm with #ObsidianMD or #logseq for about a year or two now. I've used #syncthing to keep phone and computer synced up. I've done some manual backups but I think I'm going to work on automating it this weekend and backup properly.

Installed #ActivityWatch today. It's a private tracker for my pc so I can see what I spend my time on. I got it up and running pretty quickly but need to customize the catagories a bit. activitywatch.net

Today I learned about "hardware acceleration". I've been using a 2015 Dell Inspriration 7000 with #endeavourOS for several weeks now. It's been going well but #firefox and #brave have been laggy. CPU usage wasn't spiking and wasn't going over 20% most of the time. Ram usage was at 70% or less.

So I was over my head with the #python script to get #todoist data into #postgres. I could read it but I don't know python well enough to make many changes. So I gotta go back and learn fundamentals better and take on less.

This weekend's project that is over my head is pulling my data from #todoist to a #postgres database. I have lots to #learn about APIs, #python, and #databases!

I started a goal of #writing for 5 minutes a day. At first I didn't have an end date for this but then decided to setup a #SMART #goal since it's recommended to do that. I learned more about templates in #logseq setting up the SMART goal template.

Been talking to many people in my personal life about #obsidian and #todoist that I've started to put together some quick start guides for them. I feel like I'm just rambling with how I use them so I think a couple of guides will explain it better.

Going to start working on "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python". I've started it twice before but never made it very far. This time I'm working with a friend and we are both doing it at the same time.
