I’ve also started up the The Summer Hikaru Hikaru anime. The slight anime changes to start weaving in later plot points now has been interesting. Also they someone made the gym storage room scene even gayer?!

Very happy to finally have Grave of the Fireflies on blu-ray thanks to the new Gkids release. This film is just astoundingly gorgeous. Didn’t do a full rewatch because I’m not in the mood for all that trauma right now lol but did flick through and it looks so good!

Just watched it- very cute fun little movie. Yet again anime succeeds in getting me on the edge of my seat for sport where the real thing likely wouldn’t 😂 it also made me keep forgeting that I hate eggplant

Just saw The Weathering Continent for the 1st time as my Thing of the week. A trio of characters you wish you could see more of- maybe one day some of the novels will be translated into english? The Nobuteru Yuki character designs (X movie, escaflowne) are great- overall a pretty nice looking film!

Hyped to have gotten in They Were 11 from @denpabooks.bsky.social ! The Satoshi Dezaki movie is awesome and I can’t wait to spend more time with the characters in Hagio’s original manga.

Pretty cool if pretty disparate delivery from @animeigo.com ! Watched a bit of Remi to check out the 3D effect- really neat! Even with the glasses off, there’s a lot of layering and horizontal movement- sometimes in different directions at once. It may end up being depressing, but visually it’s 🙏💯😍
