It’s a literal fact. Many of the suburbs are GOP, but the city of GR itself is majority Dem and fairly progressive.

He maintained friendships with the wealthiest people in the country, many of whom were his neighbors such as the Vanderbilt’s. His reasons for the New Deal were as much about eliminating poverty as they were to grow the consumption of goods for more Americans

Were many of the policies he implemented democratic socialist policies? Absolutely. Was he a democratic socialist? No. He rejected the label every time it was suggested for him & never lived his life as a democratic socialist would. He was born into vast multigenerational wealth & lived wealthy.

FDR was a Keynesian & did not accept the democratic socialist label. His wife Eleanor played a very significant role in federal policies & certainly was. And there were a lot of socialists he hired & that he regularly exchanged ideas with www.dissentmagazine.org/online_artic...

Why are evangelicals and the radical right pushing this when trends show religious folks are already reproducing at higher rates than the rest of the world and they don’t have to do much to stay ahead of other cultures?

I would be fascinated to hear a discussion about the demographic trends which overwhelmingly show that world population will be irreversibly shrinking over the next many decades, not just in the west or China, but around the world (see book linked). Why natalism now?

I would think there is a strong natalist tie between evangelicalism and LDS which are now very closely aligned with each other but evangelicals used to view as a cult just a decade or two ago

The reason FoTF became a church is to not have to file tax info with the IRS. Non-profit orgs have to file a 990 annually which is a public document that shows their revenues, expenses, assets, leaders and their pay, etc. Churches do not have to disclose any information to the IRS or public.
