Sen. Cory Booker is closing in on the all-time filibuster record. That record is held by Strom Thurmond, who talked for 24 hours to block passage of the Civil Rights act.
Fun Fact: Strom didn’t want African-Americans to have civil rights, despite having a black child (from a woman he raped)
