Que por lo general, un desencuentro en la calle es algo esporádico, no es común. Entonces no debería ser normal que en redes cada dia puedas cruzarte con opiniones horribles. Aquellas que nunca oirías en tu dia a dia porque escoges no hacerlo.

Sobretodo porque si en nuestras vidas “reales” somos muy selectivos con nuestras interacciones y experiencias, no deberia ser de menos en el nuestras vidas digitales, que al final también hacen parte de muestra realidad :)

El tema es que internet también es la “realidad”. De hecho, mucha gente vive en internet más que en el mundo físico. Y deberiamos tener la opción de poder convivir en espacios digitales donde está toxicidad no sea la norma.

El debate deja de serlo cuando la red social está adulterada para favorecer ciertos contenidos. Es simple y llanamente un arma propagandística. Quedarse es legitimarla.

Having said that, we NEED a platform were we can exchange ideas and organize, without feeling existential dread or being constantly harrassed. A platform WITHOUT THE NOISE. Remember, they thrive on keeping us discouraged and distracted. But there are many of us, and we won’t back down.

3. Don’t buy the crap that everyone has become rightwing. I know a lot of people have radicalized, but X’s algorithm is also programmed to favor far right content. The popular vote margin in the US elections is on track to be narrower than in 2016…

2. A platform is only relevant if its creating valuable content and meaningful conversations. The reason right-wing oriented platforms (eg.Truth Social, Gab) fail to gain traction is because their content quality is often very low and extremely fringe, making them unappealing to the general public.

1. X is already a propaganda platform. There’s nothing we can do about it. Leaving the platform is a way to delegitimize it so that institutions, celebrities, clubs leave as well.
