It's unusual for the deer to be so comfortable around a pup. I'm in the city, a few blocks from a large forested area, and the deer show up here, too. But crossing the busy streets are dangerous, and they do get hit. I took this photo from my front window. They trimmed asters this year.

She's very beautiful. I'm sure I've heard of a pet cemetery in the area. I haven't heard of Elder Walkers;I take it they help older people with their pets? That's an excellent idea. My little older guy was a foster I kept; his owner either died or went into care and he ended up at a kill shelter.

Thought of you and Matey today. He is so lucky to have you. This is my little guy Bear, an old photo from 7 years ago. He's lost muscle mass now, and is all but blind and looks a lot older, but he's been eating well. Every day we have them is a day we're grateful for.

My neighbors planted Sunflower seeds in the strip between the sidewalk and the street. Today they're gone because a neighbor reported them. I'm sure the neighbor was one or both of the maga neighbors. @frankiemillie10.bsky.social @preciouspetal.bsky.social @danielj5.bsky.social
