I book in several ingrown infected toenails to our urgent treatment centre. Many have struggled to get a GP appt, or have tried pharmacies, only to be told in both places to go to UTC… So then they do as they’re told, naturally.

I’ve done The Big Give for years now, and this year introduced Mum to it too!

To balance, I did buy books a few times recently in my local indie & also recommended it to a patient at work who had recently moved to the town (they seemed quite excited to know there was one). I’m part time NHS, so watch the £££ more now and I’ll end up spending some of my savings at the indie!

I’ve heard of one of those! (This reflects badly on me, not you!). It was the Cocteau Twins - though I couldn’t tell you why or where I’d heard of them…

You’d think managers would know that unhappy or unsupported staff perform less well. And/or leave. Therefore keeping staff happy and supported means better work and less turnover. I’ve never managed, but this seems like the basic fundamentals, no?
