We went to see the fabulous Thirza Garwood exhibition at Dulwich Picture Gallery in London. She was the wife of the equally brilliant artist Eric Ravillious. She is at long last being recognised as Ravillious's equal.

Jack the Cat. He has been with us for three years after our beloved Mr Mipps died in my partner's arms.

Best view from a supermarket cafe in the UK. The view from the Waitrose Cafe in Malvern Worcestershire. Looking from the glorious Malvern Hills over the Vale of the river Severn to the Cotswold Hills and Stratford beyond. Recommended the honey halloumi on sourdough!!!! England at its best.

Not a very good picture of Ozzy the Bull at New Street Station in Birmingham (Brum). After seventy years I still love this diverse and vibrant City. He was made for the Commonwealth Games was adapted to fit in the Station. Every hour his eyes light up he nods his head and wags his tail.

We went to the Tirzah Garwood exhibition at Dulwich Picture Gallery today. I loathe bellicose arrogant patriotism. Her gentle kind view of our country I can relate to.

A flood of crocus on Bournville Village Green today with the Carillon in the background. The workers village was built by the Quaker chocolate magnet George Cadbury and his wife Elizabeth. Can you see Musk or Trump ever having the dignity to build a place as beautiful and self-effacingly human.

Too right. At brilliant demonstration in London yesterday. Don't mope in the face of facism, fight back, just gone seventy and raring to go.

I am in wonderful Berlin Today we went to the Reichstag and came across this most beautiful and terrifying memorial. It had me in tears. This evil is potentially present in us all if we allow debased and unscrupulous people to activate the worst in us. We must not appease Trump and his goons.

Had my seventieth birthday do today at the marvellous Anjuna Lounge at the People's Republic of Stirchley in Birmingham. Lovely Indian Street Food, cake, IPA, cocktails and incredible coffee. Lovely service by Becks and the crew. The atmosphere was electric. Highly recommend.
