Since 1.21.10 is out and the version numbering is a hotish topic. I think Minecraft Java's system should be '1.year(2 digit).drop.hotfix'. So an example of the spring drop for 2026 would be 1.26.0.0. Could be dumber but i think its better than 1.21.15 next year.

My viewing of 'The Whale' was ruined by two things. The haiku scene reminding me of those old YIAY haiku episodes. Also the subtitling error of "Brid" lingered in my mind for half of the movie.

Otherwise a good film.

My thoughts on Talos Reawakened.

Replaying the main campain for the 5th time felt familiar but with the extra glitchiness of UE5 adding to the effect of the Simulation.

The new rewind and recorder functions were welcome additions though I cheesed most of the sigils later on with cube climbing.

My opening screening for 'A Minecraft Movie' was best possible chance for me to enjoy it. Every trailer line and the some other notable lines got thunderous applause. However as a whole it was mediocare with little pieces of care put in for fans to recognize.

I hope a sequel is not made.

Sunrise on the Reaping was an alright HG book. Has a more standard structure compared to Ballad. The ways that the Capitol twisted reality were expanded in an effective manner. The group from 12 was another highlight.

Whoever gets to play Plutarch in the upcoming film has big shoes to fill.

The Minecraft Movie Cape Event sure is fun...

The Talos 1 Reawakened Demo made me a bit disappointed. It's plaqued with the same UE5 visual artifact issues that I had with the Talos 2. SSR failed most of the time. Text on the terminal is blurred heavily in motion.

At least the editor and some QoL stuff I found (new rewind) are good though.

I finished 'Project Hail Mary' recently. It was what I expected and a bit more from Andy Weir. Humor and factiods were there. The secondary character was my fav addition. The flashbacks could have been condensed. I enjoyed it as a whole and hope that I can find another sci-fi book to occupy my time.

Hoping that the new thing revealed today is reasonably priced. Dont want $100 CAD games in my future.

I wish Minecraft News tubers digested information at a slower pace. From snapshot patch notes to random reddit leaks and other places, inaccuracies crop up eventually and spread fast with their viewers. This type of rushed content is on the boundry of slop to me.

Is it strength or weakness that i did not show my relatives Balatro over the holidays?

Can more things have bitcrushed audio playing through a crappy $1 speaker. I want to relive the memories of playing Smash Bros. Brawl.

Can The Oscars be renamed to 'The Movie Awards'? I need to know where I can find movie trailers for 2026 films.

A funny Delirium Boss melt that I got recently in The Binding of Isaac. Sacred Orb early does wonderful things to the soul.

I really hope next year's Balatro Content Update includes more secrets that'll take months to find out like Misprint Joker's forsight.

Also begging for a buff to Superpostion Joker by allowing straights to loop so "QKA23" is possible.

Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canies is a good sequel to the original, but i have some lingering thoughts about it. 🧵

I still wonder why the Pale Garden biome was not called the Pale Forest. With it being so linked with the Dark Forest it feels off to me.

Unless the new moss and flower was enough to qualify the new 'Garden' biome type. Then could the Flower Forest biome be renamed to Flower Garden?

Wanted to catch up on LAIKA's films and watched Kubo and Missing Link. Both were excellent. I enjoyed more Kubo for it dark themes and imagery.

One minor nitpick of them is that the celebrity voice cast were instantly recognized to me.

Excited fir their next film.

I watched one video about flushable wipes last night and now my YouTube feed is full of home improvement videos...

Seems like that content did not degrate after flushing.

I don't find DLSS and its equivalents that appealing. Feels like its being used as a bandaid to games that can't achieve consistency in performance. I expect swaths of Switch 2 3rd party games being worse off cause of it.
Up-resing an already decent image to 4K seems like the only sensible option.

Currently halfway through watching all of Christopher Nolan's films. Man really likes to mess with time. I have not watched them in release order to honour that fact.

With the removal of the creative-only Creaking variant in the latest snapshot. I feel like there is little reason to not include a way to prevent a Creaking from despawning during the day in survival. A Name Tag could suffice or a, new method. A look sensor for redstone is a neat thing to have/use.

Been using the new Bundle in Minecraft for two weeks now. It has its place in early game but not used much after shulkers.

I feel that unstackable items that only differ on data could go in with a smaller fraction. Potions and Enchanted Books come to mind.

Beehives got their exception already.
