While I'm not drawing much (booo!), I'm dropping in to say that I cannot recommend this book, Draw Stronger by Kriota Willberg, enough. It contains advice on posture, ergonomics, fitness and more for the working (or amateur) artist. Not sponsored! I just like making art and dislike being injured.

He didn't do so well on his first time out, so I'm going to beam Julius Squeezer directly into your eyeballs once more. Behold my silly wrestling boys.

Experimental skeet incoming: I usually read books two at a time and try to choose ones which compliment each other. My favourite "book pairing," if you will, from last year was The Master and Margarita and If on a winters night a traveller. Repost this with YOUR favourite book pairs? #booksky

These are some guys from a project I'm slowly chipping away at, Scott (left) and Sacha (the other one). I don't anticipate the script ever actually seeing the light of day, but don't be surprised if you see more of them. Currently they only exist on this scrap of card and in a big fat text file.

What's up I'm still going bonkers and can't draw due to the wretched tendons, in the meantime have an strange old little picture. I saw something like this while I was out walking and wanted to paint it, but I can't decide if I like it or not.

Here's an unfinished messing about with an idea that I did juuuust before tendonitis in both hands stopped me from making art for a couple of weeks. I'm gonna leave it as is but I might revisit the general composition & vibes in the near future.

Day 20 of #ArtAdventCalendar and it's one more portrait! T. E. Lawrence, or Shaw of Dorset if you prefer, done as a little experiment back in my wild-about-Kennington era. I'm not quite satisfied with the likeness but honestly, whatever. Enjoy.

Day 19 of #ArtAdventCalendar.. Any Endeavour fans in the audience today..? Drew this the day after I'd taken a portraiture class where something just clicked and fizzed in my head and suddenly I could do it. I've gained a lot more control since, but I think this still stands up.

Day 17 of #ArtAdventCalendar and time for a moderately sexy saint Sebastian, study of a work by Carlo Dolci, c17th. A strong lesson against ever working so small again (his face is smaller than the pad of my thumb!) but a very fun project nonetheless.
