Had a random call from my Mom's cousin the other day. He has Alzheimer's, and we only interacted a few times around getting some of my mom's stuff out of his barn after she died. He just called to chat and closed with "I love you."

Corollary: Being called out for spreading lies and being an asshole on social media and getting a public flogging over it is not "being cancelled" or "having your free speech repressed." You're experiencing the consequences of your words or actions, not politically motivated repression. Get over it.

Mine: Keep a log of all your and your family's addresses and jobs, with dates of changes, and names and contact info for managers or neighbors. Comes in handy and you're always surprised when you want it.
