Caroline Sanders, D-Ann Arbor, got emotional when speaking about parents being taken by federal immigration officers while their children are at school. “I don’t understand how you can be so inhumane,” Sanders said. Immigrant rights advocates are also calling on Ann Arbor officials to pass a similar resolution to keep ICE activity out of city facilities. It is not the first time the county board has opposed or resisted the federal immigration crackdown since President Trump took office. In May 2025, Washtenaw County officials informed the U.S. Department of Homeland Security they would not voluntarily hand over information on a county-issued photo ID program. The county had received a federal administrative subpoena and summons for records on the county ID program, which serves the immigrant community and others. By Jennifer Eberbach | jeberbach@mlive.com WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI — Washtenaw County officials have declared that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are not permitted in any county-owned, leased or operated buildings and properties without a judicial warrant or court order. The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday, Jan. 21 to pass an “ICE-free zones” resolution. The resolution also formally opposes the use of masks or face coverings by ICE officers to conceal their identities during civil enforcement activities “except in circumstances where face coverings are required for verified public health or safety reasons.” Movement for Immigrant Rights Action, a local grassroots group, and county Commissioner Yousef Rabhi, D-Ann Arbor drafted the resolution with input from other commissioners. “I’m here tonight to thank the board for putting on your agenda what we call ‘ICE-free zones resolution’ that says we oppose the use of county buildings and face coverings by ICE or Border Patrol and anybody else in their domain when they are in our county,” said Mary Anne Perrone, a member of MIRA and the Washtenaw Congregational Sanctuary. “Passing this resolution tonight means standing up for immigrants, for people of color, and for the allies in Washtenaw County, all of whom are resisting the cruel and unusual ICE enforcement here and throughout our country,” Perrone said. “Passing the resolution is a moral act in a time of rampant immorality on the part of the federal government.” Rabhi gave provocative remarks, including calling for ICE to be “abolished” and taking aim at President Donald Trump’s federal administration. “What we are seeing in this country with the rise of authoritarianism and the fascism in our federal government is something that we need to take very seriously as local elected officials,” he said. “This is a piece of paper and some words on it, and hopefully it does some good implementing it for county buildings,” he said. “But when the Nazis come to Ann Arbor, we are gonna have to stand as a community to face them.” “It doesn’t mean just not cooperating. It has to mean actively working against what ICE is doing,” he said, also suggesting local law enforcement should “treat them like a terrorist organization.” A portion of the resolution states: “The Board affirms that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers shall not be permitted to enter, remain in, or conduct civil immigration enforcement activities within any Washtenaw County-owned, leased, or operated building, facility, or property (including parking areas) unless required by law or pursuant to a valid judicial warrant or court order.” The resolution also directs county employees, contractors and agents not to voluntarily assist, facilitate or cooperate with ICE’s civil immigration enforcement activities in the same set of county-operated places, unless assistance is required by law. The county board also directed the county attorney to develop a county policy in collaboration with “subject-matter experts including immigrant-rights legal organizations,” the resolution states. Many county residents who spoke during public comments came to support “ICE-free zones.” All nine of the county commissioners, all Democrats, also decried ICE activity. Several residents spoke about people being, in their words, “kidnapped” by ICE and the impact it has had on the community. Commissioner Annie Somerville, D-Ypsilanti, spoke about how ICE activity is “happening a lot in Ypsilanti.” She spoke about how some people are afraid to leave their homes and how federal immigration agents have been using charter flights out of Willow Run Airport.

Can get the Bazooka but not the Flamethrower (which, however, is almost useless). Takes much more damage than Chris. Starts off with a Beretta M92FS, First Aid Spray, and Combat Knife (and an extra First Aid Spray in Rebirth Mode). Can read notes and play the piano. Kills zombies with fewer gunshots. Can get the shotgun sooner, as even triggering the trap, she will be rescued by Barry. In Rebirth Mode, she'll have sixty Handgun Bullets, twenty-eight Shotgun Shells, a Green, Blue and Red Herb in one of the item boxes.

i decided to try a new artstyle for a VN short that I'm working on. at first I was getting mad, but then i realized that there are no rules to art and started coloring directly on my sketch until it became this
two characters from my tabletop campaign, Sanguine Tempest. Deonda is a pilot who recently got brainwashed which is why she looks a little sad and sort of out of it — here, she's depicted in her faction's special uniform, a teal bodysuit with long tassels that flow behind her. The second character is Laurel, one of the players' younger sisters with Main Character energy. She can psychic blast people unconscious if she wants to but right now she's using her powers to do emergency therapy for others. She has a streetwear outfit. Beside the two characters are additional head sketches of the two that I did for additional reference: below Deonda's are the words "wet cat" and under Laurel's is "mahou shoujo"
