Ah you suffer from the tendency to read. A particular favourite of mine was a notice in the staff area of the British Library restaurant. ‘These tables are self clearing’. I watched very carefully. Not one of them EVER cleared itself.

Huge relief that this is abolished. At last at last!

Absolutely beautiful. I love the tabby colour way.

Kittens! I missed somewhere that you have KITTENS!!

Completely missed this!!

I use whatever I have. Basically white bread is I think nicer than basically brown, but sourdough is absolutely fine. Actually in a pinch tortilla work too.

Yes, sorry, these are two rashers 🥓

Grate the apples into the mix until it’s damp enough just to gather together but not at all wet. Either stuff your bird or bake separately covered so it doesn’t dry out too much.

Well I can tell you what I do. Obviously vary your amounts accordingly to needs. About a cup of bread crumbs. About half a cup of coarsely chopped fresh herbs. The more variety the better. Three of four rashers of bacon, chopped. One or two fresh apples. Mix the herbs, breadcrumbs and cooked bacon.

The right wing agenda is always tediously repetitively to enforce female submission and male conformity. There’s never ever anything joyful or supporting autonomy.

A small suggestion. Being jolly when poorly and sad isn’t possible. But sometimes small pleasures are. Linger in the better interstices that life offers.

It’s desperation. As a higher proportion of income has to go on food and housing, people selling anything else scrabble for what remains. Big traders can still afford to discount quite heavily to get that, and without it they sink. The UK has shopped for Christmas in November for 40 years.

I’m very sorry this should be so. I will pray.

Part of the trouble is the tension between trying to stay informed and trying to engage.

I seriously need to reconsider the ways I use this app. Definitely.

I felt it would be tempting fate to have that at our wedding …

I think that drives the situation where I rarely interact with others. For me, it’s largely a read-only platform, like Substack. It’s a pity.

I’m being forced to be complicit in cruelty I detest. It makes me very sad. I’m not convinced that people becoming complicit in cruelty they actually want are happy either. I don’t think human nature runs well when it’s based on utterly inhumane. Ever meet a happy bully? Thought not.

She was and she did - but oh the price we pay for love.
November 19, 2025 at 9:26 AM
Oh I am so so sorry. So very sorry.

It’s absolutely Gospel of John territory. Bad people seek the dark and everything bad . Good people seek the light and lovely things. He can’t help himself by now. It’s reached a point where he’s irresistibly drawn to mucky stuff.

Anything that helps people get through and doesn’t hurt others is my take. We have year round fairy lights and specific Christmas lights about ten days before and 12 after.
