And he used his front foot smoothly.

However, comparing these three home runs to his previous mechanics, I see some differences. Apparently he didn't put as much effort into his takebacks, and his takebacks were a little earlier and more spacious

How he managed to hit three home runs is beyond my comprehension. Was it because he timed his swing perfectly? Or was it his concentration that made it possible?
October 19, 2025 at 4:03 AM
Teo should have started from third base with a sacrifice fly as usual. I think that was his mistake.
October 14, 2025 at 11:15 AM
Ohtani is swinging with his arms only, he should use his lower body. He should also not put any effort into his take-back. Tilting the bat is strictly forbidden! coach should tell him that instead oppo pitchers stats and data.
October 9, 2025 at 8:54 AM
Betts lowers the head of his bat on contact. This is because he does not extend his left arm and instead of leading the bat with his left arm, he pushes the bat with his right arm. That's why he gets so many pop flies.
October 7, 2025 at 6:40 AM
Ohtani's fastball still lacks extension. This is because his fingertips are not hitting the centre of the ball on release.
October 6, 2025 at 7:45 AM
Betts should correct the unnecessary motion in his swing.
September 30, 2025 at 10:58 AM
Ohtani and Teo tilt their bats far forward in their backswing. That's why they probably can't hit Greene's hi-velo fastballs.
They may change their swings to be more compact after a few at-bats, but by then it will be too late. They should realize the problem before the game.
September 30, 2025 at 8:10 AM
Why would Ohtani forget his last two home run swings in the opposite direction? He took a big backswing and tilted his bat forward today. If he had taken a smaller take back instead of tilting his bat, he would have hit a home run and would have been the winning pitcher.

Treinen, Yates, Scott, and Conforto have proven useless in important situations this year. Roberts still believes in them. He is a fool and must go. Or, if he gives up on them tomorrow, he has a chance to continue directing. Instead of them we should use Sasaki, Hurt and Kershaw. Kim for Conforto.

But it was nice to see him change his step from open to square or even close against southpaws. I still worry about him going back to the open-open stance again.
September 18, 2025 at 6:15 AM
Ohtani should solidify his hitting mechanics. He resumed his tilted bat stance today. He changes his stance many times. Good hitters rarely change their stance. He was able to hit a home run today because the pitch wasn't a +98 mph fastball.
September 18, 2025 at 6:14 AM
I believe the quality of Ohtani's fastball has improved because he released the ball with just two fingertips. His swings in the last two at-bats were better because he didn't tilt the bat forward excessively. I hope he gets back on track going forward.
September 17, 2025 at 10:49 AM
He will not change because he does not listen to others and does not know the mechanics of hitting. The mechanics of hitting should start with the lower body, and the lower body is the key. If he stays with his current mechanics, he will never win the home run title and MVP.
September 15, 2025 at 4:22 AM
ohtani should take close stance agaimst philles southpaws
September 15, 2025 at 12:36 AM
GM should send Scott and Yates to the minors and call up Casparius and Sasaki.
September 13, 2025 at 11:49 AM
If they can't hit Verlander, who is 40, they won't be able to hit many more good pitchers. Roberts is too stupid to realize Scott is useless in key situations. They wasted Yamamoto's great pitching again. Betts should always pitch overhand. Anyway, they should've KO'd Verlander in the early innings.
September 13, 2025 at 5:40 AM
To hit fastballs, Ohtani, Pages, and Kim should not tilt their bat heads forward before swinging. If they don't improve that, they won't be able to contribute in P.S. I hope the Dodgers hitting coach realizes this.
September 12, 2025 at 2:13 AM
As I said, Theoskar changed his mechanics. I would like to see Ohtani change as well. The hitting coach should tell him that his mechanics are different from his best. I have not observed Betts' mechanics, so I don't know what has changed.
September 11, 2025 at 5:40 AM
I know that Ohtani can't hit if he leans his bat too far forward. Why don't he and his hitting coach realize that? Roberts should give up on Conforto already. He may have already decided that Erdman will replace him.
September 10, 2025 at 6:05 AM
Teoscar should look at last year's mechanics. You can clearly see the difference from this year. At least he didn't tilt his bat as much and didn't twist his upper body as much. His swing was also lighter. He didn't pull his front foot back so that you could see the back of his left cleat.
September 9, 2025 at 11:12 AM
No Dodger hitter can hit Dollander's 99 mph fastball, which is hard to beat in P.S. Ohtani can't hit after two strikes, because there is no pause in his swing. No hitter steps forward before swinging. Teoscar leans his bat too far forward and is late to the fastball.
September 9, 2025 at 7:19 AM
Teoscar, Ohtani, Pages, and Kim tilt their bats too much. Teo needs a simple early step, not a front foot pull. Pages needs to ditch the leg kick. Kim needs to stop tilting his bat before swinging to survive.
September 8, 2025 at 5:22 AM
Roberts should realize that a player who is out of shape cannot possibly have a good performance. He should have sent a sacrifice sign to Pages yesterday. He must tell his players to play as a team. Teams have to score when they can. You never know what will happen in baseball.
