It seemed as if the whole town turned out for the Italian language premiere of Cries from the Cotton Field here in Rocoaro Terme, Italy.
One local lady came up to me in tears for shining a light on the saga of her ancestors.

I caught a home run ball at the Super Regional softball game today. Unfortunately, it was hit by the wrong team. Ole Miss wins game one 9-7.

Arkansas must beat the Rebels twice to advance to College World Series. Game two is 8 pm tomorrow. #WPS

has been nominated by “Festival Mirabile Dictu” mirabiledictu-icff.com for “Best Film.” Screenings will be in Menton, France February 10-12.
The Festival was created in 2010 under the “High Patronage of the Vatican.”

29 years ago today, this happened-the first ever live newscast, broadcast from the basement of Kimpel Hall, at what is now the School of Journalism and Strategic Media, University of Arkansas.
The following fall semester, we founded UATV, an on-air campus station, run by students.

My Mom, Regina Spillers Foley,
now 91-years old, listened to President FDR’s Pearl Harbor address to Congress on this upright console radio. We still have the Stromberg-Carlson “Triple Range.”
My grandfather financed it for about $3 a month in the 1930s. To us, it’s priceless,

The first line came from my friend, the late Kim Smith, who served as Humanities Scholar. Over coffee Kim said to me, “You know Larry, the Buffalo begins and ends in a winderness.” And so it began.
