Hey Mark, physician here. The issue isn’t medical school spots, cost and length of training contribute but there are not enough residency spots even for the existing physicians that graduate each year. Can you imagine finishing medical school, earning an MD/DO and not being able to care for people?

Now we just need to get more patient awareness! I had a patient come in and his generic blood pressure medicine telmisartan was $366 for a 90 day supply with his insurance at his preferred pharmacy. I pointed out that this drug is 10.69 at your pharmacy for the same 90 day supply & he was floored.
