Believing what RFK Jr. says is nothing short of malfeasance. He is unqualified to make any medical judgement regarding the health and well being of children and for that matter, anyone in the United States. It is truly a dark day for medicine.

When you visit your pediatrician, we want you to ask us questions. We are happy to answer them with well documented, scientific evidence. You should be well informed. But please, listen to your pediatrician. We have specific training. We know what we’re talking about.

According to the CDC, the only documented risks are cosmetic issues such as discolored tooth enamel or small holes in the teeth.

He’s questioned the use of fluoride in our water, but the CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics and other health organizations have said that the levels of fluoride in drinking water are safe and help reduce cavities

Pasteurization is a highly safe and effective way for us as human beings to consume cows milk, without the fear of bacterial contamination leading to severe disease. It has been around since the late 1800s and again, is the gold standard to drink milk.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
Not only is he promoting the anti-vaccine movement, but also questioning the well documented positive outcomes that science has had over many years. He’s questioned pasteurization of milk (he only drinks raw milk).

No matter what verbage may come out of his mouth, RFK Jr. has made it well known that he is anti-vaccination. If you believe he’s not going to remove vaccines, cancel mandates for vaccinations for school aged kids, or curtail research on vaccines, I have a bridge to sell you
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
He claimed alternative medications for treatment of COVID-19 that have been disproved over and over again. He claimed that lyme disease was a biological weapon created on Plum Island.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
He promoted a false claim that has been debunked over and over that the MMR vaccine causes autism. He claims without scientific fact that fluoride should be removed from drinking water due to cognitive impairment.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
He sows doubts into parents questioning decades of known and safe scientific practices. He chaired an organization (Children's Health Defense) that unsuccessfully sued vaccine manufacturers, the NIH and FDA.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
RFK Jr. is not a doctor. He has no medical training at all. He never attended medical school and certainly never completed a pediatric residency. He has never taken care of a critically ill child. What he is, is a known conspiracy theorist and anti-vaccine advocate.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
With the confirmation today of RFK Jr. as the director of Health and Human Services, the United States has reverted to a time where proven positive outcomes are now questioned with fringe conspiracy. This man is unequivocally dangerous to the health and well being of the children of America.

Unfortunately, some may develop subacute sclerosing panencephalitis which is a fatal, progressive degenerative disease of the central nervous system that usually occurs 7 to 10 years after natural mеaslеѕ virus infection.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
This was a completely preventable outbreak, but thanks to misinformation, some kids and young adults will have long lasting effects of this illness.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
There will be more cases in the upcoming days due to the highly transmissibility of the virus, and unfortunately, more hospitalizations and possibly deaths.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
Currently in West Texas (Gaines Country) there is an ongoing outbreak of measles. This county has one of the highest vaccine exemption rates in the entire state. As of today, 24 people have been infected. 9 have been hospitalized. None have been vaccinated.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
We have updated guidelines that allow us more flexibility for observation and outpatient care in those who are vaccinated. Vaccines have created a healthier society where kids don’t die from these illnesses anymore.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
According to a study published in the Lancet, global vaccinations have saved more than 150 million lives including 146 million children younger than 5 over the past 50 years. Vaccines have affected how pediatricians approach illnesses in kids.
February 13, 2025 at 11:53 PM
What do all these kids have in common? They all had vaccine preventable illnesses. Vaccinations are, without a doubt, the greatest scientific advancement in human history.

I remember the toddler admitted with severe gastroenteritis and hypovolemic shock secondary to Rotavirus infection. I remember the school aged child who developed sepsis and encephalitis secondary to varicella infection and were left with long term cognitive and physical disabilities.

I wound up diagnosing the child with bacterial meningitis from Streptococcus pneumonia. I remember the 3 week old infant who was admitted to the PICU in respiratory failure from Pertussis and had complications from the illness (cerebral hemorrhage from coughing so hard).
