I never played many until my son was old enough to play with me. I picked up the Sega genesis collection on switch (can rewind time if die) and we worked through those. Additionally I grabbed a Japanese beat 'em up collection on the switch to play Captain Commando which was beginner friendly.

Finished and platinum obtained! Not sure it was worth the extra 5-ish hours to do the remaining quests, fish, and weapons. Overall I enjoyed my experience but the high enemy health detracted my from enjoyment.

This final dungeon sure is quite the grind.
