I can't do everything, but I'd rather do something instead of nothing.
I desire silence, but bells keep ringing loud in my ears. A noise that is temporary, but I've perceived it as forever.

I wish some people knew when to leave you alone. It'd be nicer, then.

Elon Musk is—I say this advisedly, as a biographer of his life—the absolute worst.

This is one of the most concerning things to happen within the 2000s. Did we not learn anything from History? What's the point of History if we keep repeating it? Of course, Elon Musk has no valid way to answer such questions. America...I'm so so worried.
The entire nation of Australia gets it. Media in that country are having to blur what Elon Musk did twice in public today because of laws there regarding the Nazi salute.

How you gonna respond to me and then block me so I can't read your reply? Do idiocy and cowardice just go together or..

Apps are communities… we share our loves, hopes, fears, and dreams…

When you lose a community that is a real loss

It’s okay to mourn those losses

For everyone hopping on to Rednote or xiaohongshu, make sure to include a Mandarin translation!

The banning of Tiktok, religion, racism, xenophobia...all things that seek to divide us, but also establish a power imbalance, and a unique hierarchy where those at the top can't be taken down because they profit....I've been aware for years but it feels more imminent now.

Not to be pessimistic but the times feel dark, intimidating and scary, and I'm just tired of being worried. I don't think humanity was supposed to operate under so much psychological pressure so often, yet look at what's happening around us...

It's okay to say what's on your mind as long as you're willing–if appropriate—to have a full-fledged productive discussion on it.

I dislike being so frustrated with something that the emotion seeps out of me slowly like sap, but the frustration itself feels infinite, like its never going to leave. One of the worst feelings ever, honestly.

I tried to have a constructive discussion with a Christian who was racist, homophobic and misogynistic. Initially went well and he even complimented my viewpoint. Another Christian joined and it went downhill. The new guy shouted slurs at me, different slurs that attacked different characteristics.

"Woke" realistically is a compliment. It implies the person using the insult is asleep, therefore ignorant. And the recipient of the insult is not ignorant.

Bluesky is really good at fostering productive discussions. Literally responded to a post and got a response within 3 minutes.

We have to make sure they realise how none of this is propaganda. A lot of these things are verifiable as knowledge. Should we demonise them for being less educated? No. Will we get frustrated if they don't listen? For sure. But I think there's value in trying.

And I just wanna mention that Christianity was always fine by itself until it became political rather than remaining private. And that's why everyone is moving in a more secular direction, because the followers of Christianity don't make it seem like a religion worth exploring.
Christianity itself is not the problem. The problem is Christians who weaponise Christianity. Some Christians can be critical of people weaponising the Bible against others and these people are our real allies. So don't attack the religion but the people misusing the religion.

Maybe you can't reach everyone. But maybe you could reach one person, make their day, provoke a life-changing idea or discussion in quieter parts of society. Sometimes we won't always see the impact our voice has but that doesn't mean it is non-existent.

You don't have to be in the history books to make a mark on history.

If we wanna convince Republicans to do better, we have to try appeal to their emotions while using logic, without trying to come across as insulting. As soon as you offend someone, they're less likely to listen. We have to get good at persuasion if we wanna create a small change with power we have.
