A fan of a certain age, or a greying geek if you will. I grew up with and still love old-school Sci-Fi and Telefantasy from the 1960s and '70s (some of that newfangled '80s stuff too).

I still remember walking into the grocery shop up on the lane, and seeing a roll of Planet of the Apes wrapping paper. It was quite cheap as I recall (2 'new' pence, I think) and I bought several sheets. At the time I assumed it was a poster and it was only later I realised it was wrapping paper!

It always makes me smile when I see that photo of the cast in front of Burgh Island because I was there when it was being taken. The location is just down the road from where I live and I watched a fair bit of filming. Seems like yesterday, but I'm horrified to realise it was actually 25 years ago!
