Chicago Half Marathon 🏃🏾♀️ flat and fast course. It was fun but a challenging run. It was hot and we had no coverage. Had to modify, and slow down.. 13.1 miles under the sun 2:36:51 🏅 congrats to all my fellow finishers! #RunSky #ChicagoHalfMarathon

🏊🏾 more of yesterday’s swim clinic. Our youngest competitor is 13 and the oldest 83. I’ll get smoked by both likely-😆 but I’m okay with that. All jokes aside, I hope I can finish the course and not give up. If I do, that’s okay too. Yall just gotta console with my burgers. #chicagotriathlon

I will try not to focus on what I perceive as “failure” or “ not doing well”. Open water swim esp in choppy water, ain’t easy. Yes I freaked out a bit.. and cried for sure. But I didn’t give up. We get to race, but not guaranteed to “win” or even finish entire course. But I’ll sure fucking try!

One thing for certain and two thangs for sho: Lake Michigan gonna always be cold and choppy 😆💀. Spent some time in the cold water basin just playing and getting some strokes in. Won’t lie, it was challenging. I’m new to open water and have to be kind to myself. #OpenWaterSwimSky #SwimSky #TriSky
