Two more stapes bones found and segmented from CT data. Brings the total to four, but no other ear bones were recovered 😔

Now trying my hand at segmenting the inner ear chambers.

For #FossilFriday, a 2-for-1 special: Apatosaurus ischium (= body fossil) bearing toothmarks (= trace fossil) made by a large theropod with serrated teeth. Specimen was displayed at the Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita CO, described by @uglyfossils.bsky.social, @drjmchugh.bsky.social & others.🧪🦖🦕

Getting serious again. Just booked my flight for another round of fossil sloth research in the Dominican Republic for next month. Excited to see the new individuals recovered last year and see how they fit into the new (hopefully) genus!
