Named after the lovely purple markings (made with non-toxic animal safe paint) on her ears to identify her, Lilac is a young Mexican free-tail who attempted to take residence in a local hotel rather than migrate with her colony. Being a juvenile, this is likely her first migration

These two pups were found orphaned in Cairns. Fortunately found before they succumbed to dehydration or green ants found them.
Green ants, while they serve a wonderful role within the ecosystem, can cause terrible injuries and burns to little pups who have lost the prote
