Just finished watching Striking Distance. It’s a pretty underrated cop film from the same director of the seminal 80s classic Roadhouse. Definitely recommend it, as it’s worth seeing for its incredibly stacked cast and all of twists, turns, and action set pieces.

Strange Days (1995). One of the most underrated genre movies of the 1990s from Kathryn Bigelow, one of the best genre directors of the 1990s.

Now seated for Sisu 2: Road to Revenge.

Still holds up as a grisly, gritty good time. Jorma Tommila is a great as a grizzled, stoic Nazi killer and the movie has so many fun, brutal set pieces, all wrapped up in a nice 90 minute package.

Need to watch this one more often.

Now rewatching Sisu. Love the hell out of this movie.

Made a lot of money in selling off some of my old blu rays and DVDs, and used it to treat myself to a copy of Lies of P.

Heard that it’s not only a great Soulslike game, but it’s the one that’s most like Bloodborne.

So, I just finished partaking in the Vinegar Syndrome Black Friday sale, and I’m now tempted to go back and add more stuff to my order.

And that temptation brings this meme to mind:

Thanksgiving this year was great. Had my usual plate of turkey, stuffing (cooked in the turkey), baked macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, and dinner rolls. Ate three whole plates of food this time.

About to see Wicked: For Good with my dad! It’s a part of our annual Thanksgiving tradition of seeing a movie before dinner.

Found my old knit cap last night, which I remember getting in an anime loot crate.

Going to be wearing it this winter season in lieu of my usual ball caps.

I have the privilege of seeing Seijun Suzuki’s Branded to Kill tonight at my Alamo Drafthouse.

The guy at the ticket counter is super enthusiastic about it.

Recently been playing Salt and Sanctuary, a game that’s been in my Steam backlog for God knows how long. It’s actually a pretty damn good game that’s essentially Dark Souls by way of Metroidvania. I’ve beaten the first few bosses so far and I’m having a lot of fun.

Share a 90s movie you think deserves more love.

Definitely One False Move. It's a damn good crime drama that has one of Bill Paxton's best dramatic performances as well as great supporting performances from Billy Bob Thorton and Michael Beach.

It currently sits on the top shelf of my collectibles shelf, at least until something bigger comes along.

Finally got my Xabungle Moderoid finished today. It’s a fantastic model kit, even if some parts were a bit frustrating.

Jack lucked out today. Turns out you need an appointment to get a cat’s nails trimmed, so I set us up for next Wednesday.

I did buy him some cat treats for his troubles.

Taking Jack to Petco to get his claws trimmed. Tired of him scratching the hell out of me and digging his claws in.

Jack, of course, is not happy about this one bit. But it’s for his own good.

This was a really good video from Ant, and explored dinosaur movies and why there aren’t many dinosaur horrors out there (the kitchen scene with the raptors in the first Jurassic Park is an excellent horror scene, BTW).

I also really love his pitch for a dinosaur horror movie.

Haven’t really watched any movies this week, but I have a perfect line up for this #LastFourWatched.

The Last Boy Scout. Easily some of the best work in the careers of both Tony Scott and Shane Black.

Has an incredible, must see villain performance from Taylor Negron.

Came home from work yesterday to discover that Polly was occupying yet another pet bed.

She sure looks comfy.

Had to deal with Jack last night. The little asshole kept trying to sit on my lap as I write and kept clawing at and biting my hands. Still have a couple of scratches on myself from him.

My cousin was right about Jack: he’s simultaneously sweet and an asshole.

Recently got some settlement money in, and I used it to purchase the second season of Symphogear.

I look forward to rewatching it.
