Great thread. Most medics are unaware of the impact of poor oral health upon systemic disease. Sadly, limited access to dentistry will continue to widen oral health inequalities, risking longer term consequences for the nation’s health (and at a financial cost). Thanks for your ongoing advocacy

That’s so unfair, those adjustments look entirely reasonable. If all else fails with BMA, the only other thing I can think of is involving the TPD, and failing that, the PG Dean.

Trouble is RAs are an employment issue and adjustments must be ‘reasonable’. If time-based RAs are recommended through a workplace assessment (fewer pts on clinic, more time for admin), the healthboard/trust (& therefore trainers) are obliged to follow recommendations. Hope it gets sorted out!

Don’t know the circumstances, but that doesn’t sound right at all! Those affected need to challenge this & seek advice w/ the BMA. Residents might need to apply for Access to Work (JobCentre Plus) to have a workplace assessment and avail RAs when starting at a new HealthBoard or Trust.

Glad to hear this. These tips scattered across our valleys are a real concern.

Hoping for the best for all those affected.
