Sometimes I draw Creechurs.

Playing around more with Hobson designs: his pre-Earth fashion, The Last Blade's design, and then Hobson with his mommas.

I want to practice shading with inks more, and also doing more environmental pieces. Being a spaceman who can go anywhere, Hobson will probably be my go-to for art experiment pieces for awhile.
Turns out, fiddly tech bits, lots of vines, and stippling are all super soothing.

Help, my friends and I made a Chess AU.
What if there was a musician deer guy who only streamed chess while waiting for his audio files to compile, and now he's a famous chess player sho hates the cutthroat scene but needs the money too much to leave?

Fun fact! Locke was originally the main villain of the story Hobson was in, who I made around the same time, and now they are both in the same Masks superhero universe.
Hobson was originally a deuteragonist with his sibling, Nemo. Always a space elf, Hobson faced a significant redesign this year.
Old original design sketches of two elves, Nemo and Hobson. Both are blond pale elves in semi-formal clothes. Nemo has amethysts and pearls embedded in zir face/ears/elbows, while Hobson has rough granite coming out of his knuckles, cheeks, and beard. Updated designs for space elves Nemo and Hobson, now colored with markers. They both have significantly more stonework to their skin, including feet entirely made of stone, and are both wielding large warhammers. They are standing in a grassy field in front of a spaceship. Inspired by @draconiax.bsky.social , here is the growth of Locke's design and character.
1. 2012; evil cyborg space man. Why so white.
2. 2014; nerd, planned protag for a time travel vn ala SteinsGate.
3. 2022; redesigned but with no set plan.
4. 2025; time travel cyborg superhero!
Original concept design for OC Locke (originally called Nielock). He is a white man in a green and red suit. He has silver and violet cybernetic implants: extra arms, cyborg legs, faceplates, and all his hair are cyberdreads. There are a few additional design sketches on the side to show off the arm, expressions, and one of him looking creepy with another OC (original form of Hobson, actually). A half-colored sketch of two OCs. One is an early version of Locke, who is now tan with blond dreads and freckles, wearing a communist platypus shirt as he types on a laptop. Next to him is a girl with black eyes and dark hair, dressed in a hoodie; this is the early design of his best friend, Jieyun. Pencil sketches of Locke's next design, though he is not yet a cyborg. He has some cybergoth fashion sensibilities, and has the piercings now seen on his normal form. He looks confident and smarmy in these sketches. The modern design (in color!) of OC Xen "Paralocke" Locke. He has tan skin, freckles, and dark brown hair with three golden cybernetic implants ("cyberdreads") atop his head. He has multiple piercings and a collar with an hourglass around his neck.

Went to draw a sketch of Locke reaching for his villainous father figure, right before his fingers got broken.
Realized that in this same sketchbook in September, before this game even started, I drew Locke with scars and corrective jewelry for those fingers.
