Aubrey, I just wanted to know that I treated myself to angela lansbury's fitness book for Christmas, because you made me adore her stuff! So hyped to read it.

Btw, for future episodes, have you guys ever heard about Sonja Bakker? Dutch diet writer and really interesting to cover!

He should have gone down the golden ratio route and just used that money to adopt a tonne of dogs. He can afford a dog walker. You can't buy love but it's hard not to feel loved when you have 5 dogs to wake up to every morning!

Keep in mind that before, Dresden had already been bombed into oblivion which is devastating in its own right. So dropping many bombs until a city is completely destroyed, vs one big powerful bomb they were testing, probably felt similar.

Until they dropped it and realised it wasn't. At all.

Especially because the atomic bomb was of a magnitude people probably couldn't imagine until it happened. Now we think of it as terrifying, but prior it was probably seen as 'a really powerful bomb'. Which is still... Just a bomb.

Agreed, Kamala has no change of winning. Personally I would love to see a black woman become president but the US just isn't there yet. They need other people to pave the way there first before ALL of the USA will accept it.

Aww look at her face! She is so cute, of course she brightens up your day!

You can't really write well about a character you don't understand nor emphasize with, and 'he dies because what else is there to do' is a terrible way to go through a storyline.

I don't think you are overreacting at all, but I do agree with the advice to step back and not out yourself through the exhaustion of confronting her. Honestly, her book will likely be pretty bad and she won't find a lot of reception for it, which will also teach her a lesson.

I didn't like him before that tbh. I care about animal rights and don't eat meat myself but Morrissey always took it super far. He supported PETA and walked out of a gig less than halfway through because there was a grill nearby and he could smell meat.

Now, after her death, those same musicians are saying she was brave and great. But when she needed that support the most, back then, most stood by and let it happen
July 28, 2023 at 6:32 AM
To the point that she made 10 albums, her first had a mega hit most people still know now, and the other 9 rarely got listened to. Because she tore up a picture of the pope on live tv.

Rarely anyone, including other musicians, stood up for her at all

So sorry for your loss.

They don't mean supporting her in her depression though, but decades ago. After her first album came out, which was a huge hit, she publicly criticised the child abuse in the catholic church, and the music industry shunned her

Abortion isn't a bad thing, ever, but it's a personal choice that doesn't work for all. How you feel about having kids probably also affects how you view that choice for yourself.
July 27, 2023 at 12:19 PM
I think that's a bit more complex. I have meet women who would never want an abortion themselves, regardless of circumstances, but support the right of others to choose. I would call that pro-choice but not pro-abortion.
