What a terrible, single, nothing metric lol. It meant nothing then, means nothing now. Yet hear we are, parroting a meaningless talking point once again.

Those who use Bernie as social capital, not those who believe in his policies. They tainted Bernie and never felt like real supporters, just convenient anti-hillary Greek life d-bags.

Officially a second world country and have lost the cold war. Cool cool.

Proximity to Montana?
November 26, 2025 at 4:42 PM
I mean think about how incredible that is. "By bringing attention to genuine tragedy, we are making enemies...." Feels like they were already enemies to begin with. If we never heard about the tragedy maybe we'd never know it happens and therefore no one would be mad about it. Baffling logic

What I would give to feel that devastation for a first time again...

How vindicating. Good to see the Rent mostly full too. I feel like those of us who've watched nearly every game the last 14 years will all sit in silence with a nice whiskey and lightly sob in the darkness later....no? Oh me neither....

Hopefully Bernie et al are defending it knowing that the disenfranchised need to rise together. If that's the case then it needs to be clear and we should reckon with it. Racist tradition is and was a way of pitting white poor vs black poor. White poor get higher on the hierarchy for their allegiance
October 29, 2025 at 4:05 PM
I wonder about this all the time: how do you make it about up vs down and lot left vs right. These poor, white, racist rural voters are declining for the same policy reasons as other poor non white communities. How do you make the alliance to fight a common enemy with so much historic hate to combat?

And he hasn't gotten my vote yet. I just don't think the work he has done should be dismissed. The many town halls have been inspiring and is the reason so many people haven't completely dismissed him yet. Maine Dems have not earned the vote north of Augusta, they should worry about that more.
October 27, 2025 at 4:11 PM
I think that's my issue to this point. He HAS been the only candidate of substance on the ground. He's the only one connecting with people north of Augusta. I mean, worst case is he is preaching and connecting a ton of rural voters with progressive policies. You can't beat Collins without the 2nd

And how do we ensure real, authentic people go to office without setting the precedent that we immediately disqualify them without discussion?AI and deep fakes will make this happen in the future, and it feels like our reaction is setting ourselves up for future traps. The whole thing makes me uneasy
October 27, 2025 at 11:26 AM
I'm having a hard time because:
-Platner has been the only candidate out building relationships with voters.
-Has been able to reach previously unreachable people
-has moved 2nd district Trump voters with progressive arguments
...but is also deeply flawed normie unprepared for political venue
October 27, 2025 at 11:22 AM
You don't know me or my values, nor I you. But if we sat down and talked Maine second district you'd understand where I am coming from because I know you care and you would realize how deeply I do. I'm not one of these trolls. Please just wait, that's all I ask.
October 26, 2025 at 2:04 PM
If we want more regular authentic people to run we have to have more patience as things run their course. Sanitized people live inauthentic lives and are out of touch. Where Platner is it or not, we have a purity test problem.

I voted for Mills twice and would do so again if she makes it out of the primary. He doesn't have my vote yet, all I'm saying is let it all parse itself out it really isn't simple. Maybe Jordan Wood gets my vote. Let's be open until June. Mills has betrayed liberals many times and has no chance
October 26, 2025 at 1:52 PM
Is he though? Look through his history, platform and town halls. Hard to believe
October 26, 2025 at 11:08 AM
We'll see how that plays out. I've heard they're similar to non-compete and standard practice for national campaigns... I don't know. I'm waiting. His town halls have been so inspiring.... just would be a huge letdown. It feels more complicated than national media makes it to be
October 26, 2025 at 2:03 AM
They need that killer instinct. Gave away all three of those games. Stop playing with your food....
October 26, 2025 at 1:19 AM
I still think Platner has a higher ceiling than mills. If you lived in the second district like I do, you'd know there are so many good people with bigoted views who just need an off ramp from Trump. Just....be please be open to rewarding growth. He still has a ways to go but he's not irredeemable
October 26, 2025 at 1:02 AM
It's disappointing. Mills has no chance in hell unfortunately. She made too many enemies and had too many broken promises in her own party. She vetoed 3 pro union bills. She backed down on DEI initiatives in her departments. Pro Israel lobby. Maine won't swap one moderate old lady for another.
