Currently NATO is mostly US troops and weapon systems. Do you think Trump will support us in an article 5 situation? Europe is still too much talking and little action. None of the countries are willing to invest in a real EU army.

As a European I partially agree that we are too dependent on the US for our own safety. So maybe it is a good thing that it is now abundantly clear where the US is heading.
But we are not powerless. Europe needs the US, but the US needs us as well… maybe even more so.

You are assuming that only solar energy exists. We also have hydro, geothermal and wind energy. So even in winter time there are options to load up batteries to smooth out seasonal variations

Just keep in mind that Russia lost millions during the war. Losing a few 100k does not really impress them much. The US had a low number of casualties since most bombing happened in Europe.

The problem is that only the connector is standardized. i have plenty of usbc electronics that require a Usba-usbc kabel and usba charger.
