I like D&D and dogs. Roll for initiative.
Congress can’t pass laws that override or limit the President’s constitutional pardon power, but Congress can impeach, convict, and remove the President for abusing that power. Whether Congress will choose to do so at some point is a different question.

It’s also not like the legal secretary is typing out the sig block by hand each time. There should be a master pleading template that gets re-used. To have a typo in the sig block is insane.

Not a problem that hiring another Vice Provost for Special Gifts can’t solve.

It’s view from nowhere nonsense. They’re unwilling to apply law to fact to reach a conclusion, even though the law, the fact, and the conclusion are all obvious and undisputed.

Burning cash in a dumpster is one of Trump’s true skills.

Yes. But it’s a zombie misstatement that will never die.

Republicans believe Dems who fight back are unfair rule-breakers.

An agreement to break the law is a conspiracy. I don’t understand what type of reliance defense you have in mind.

Schumer “going quasi-edge-lord.” Lol, I love it.

Doesn’t Trump have to dangle the pardon to keep her quiet, then issue it as he leaves office? If he does it now, and the Dems take back the House, it seems like they could force her to testify w/o 5A concerns. She could flee the country forever, I guess.

Well said.

It’s not the worst part of the result, but the Supreme Court also is teaching the Government that following lower court orders is optional.

“These heartland residents expressed shock and dismay when Carol, their friend and neighbor of 20 years, was disappeared by the President they elected. Now, two weeks later, the same residents uniformly report they don’t give a fuck about Carol and fully support the President who disappeared her.”

Agree, we’ve seen this story 100 times, and they portray the townspeople as good-natured folk. Where’s the story explaining that two weeks later the (white) townsfolk have forgotten about Carol because they never cared about her in the first place? Screw the townsfolk and their furrowed brows.

I love TPM, but this is a bad headline. The Court’s approach is the judicial equivalent of a sternly worded letter from Schumer. The Court could have issued an OSC re contempt, but it chose to do basically nothing. The Court’s inaction in the face of blatant contempt is the story.

Where is Schumer’s strongly worded letter about this?!

Someone should tell Comer that some asshole is signing his name to stupid letters.
