I think you may be misreading this? Or I’m misunderstanding your post, one of the two. That means that you only need 71 cents USD to get $1 CAD. $1 USD gets you $1.40 CAD as of this morning. It’s down since the beginning of the year, but up from this time last year, a few cents in either direction.
