Overheard at my SW Airlines Gate after an announcement “oh wow…I didn’t realize they could talk normal, I thought they had to talk professional”…yet another reason I hate Southwest Airlines.

The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

My commute to work was 20 minutes longer because #SAPD was pulling people over to deport them. Leaving this city can’t come soon enough. #SATX

Soooooo the current policy is that we only support refugees if they’re white and they’re actually willing to put that in writing?! I hate it here.

Today my husband and I had to have a conversation about what documentation he keeps on him as #SATX PD are setting up traffic stops and questioning anyone of Hispanic origin. My husband is a 4th generation American and an #AirForce spouse.

I feel like I’m not living in the U.S. anymore.

I married a man, who at the end of our trip, gathered up all the snacks in our hotel room and took them to homeless people outside. I love this guy!

I’ve been in Texas too long. It’s 42 degrees and I drove the two blocks to the mailbox instead of walking because it’s cold.

Many LGBTQ+ Christians have been the beaten-up man on the side of the road in the Good Samaritan story.

I used to think most church leaders were the religious folks who walked by the man without helping, but now I think they’re the robbers who beat him up in the first place.

This month has been insane:
- passing of my grandfather
- passing of my mother in law
- suicide in my unit
- 2 other deaths in my unit
And countless counseling sessions related to all of it. I’m exhausted but still here and wanting better.
