My HS freshman English teacher kinda ground us through it. I seem to remember writing chapter summaries? It was a heavy-handed approach. And, as you say, P&P is very funny—in fact, that’s one of the things that jumped out when I revisited it

My two “oh WOW this is going to stick with me” moments are (1) re-reading PRIDE & PREJUDICE on my own in college, after *hating* it in high school; and (2) every page of DEMON COPPERHEAD.
