How could a guy like Jackson who the team didn’t even want last season become must-keep? He is well past his prime. Time to give younger players the snaps instead.

What I love about these January ‘78 shows is that you hear Garcia hone his Close Encounters-theme playing, leading up to the crescendo on 1/22. Most band develop behind the scenes and in the studio. This band did it on stage.

That ticket was actually used on 1/8/79. 11/30 and 12/1/78 were canceled as a result of JG's bronchitis which we all heard on 11/24. The shows were moved to 1/7 and 1/8/79 and they added the 2 Nassau Coliseum shows on 1/10 and 1/11.

Why would you stop performing Catfish John? It wasn’t a difficult song to play and it was so much fun. I really hadn’t contemplated that he stopped playing it 10 years before the end.

I say he gets fired. Mara needs to make a change and he isn’t going to fire Schoen so the head coach has to go.
