I had a eureka moment last week, in a dream. I realized that the theme to "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" was written by Harry Nilsson early in his career, and I was like, "Why didn't I hear this 30 years ago?" It can only mean I'm getting smarter.

Songs will only be considered for the new "traditional country" category if they include at least one mention of "cheating", "cold beer", "dirt roads", "blue jeans", or "truck nuts". However, in a small concession, all songs from white performers will automatically be eligible.
