You would need to check the Avonet details, but I will wager that those are wing-cord lengths, rather than wingspans.

Now that you mention it... the umbrellabird is way off too. I can believe umbrellabird wings are 25.9 cm long. (I've held a different species of umbrellabird.) I can believe pygmy tyrant wings are 3.2 cm long. (I've held a different species of pygmy tyrant.) My guess: a unit issue (mm not cm).

Yes! I saw two oystercatchers bathing in the tide pools at Bowdoin Scientific Station in the Bay of Fundy this spring. In this photo, I think I frightened one of the birds away from its bath:
