My Greyhawk game draws upon the Greyhawk Wars, but with one major change...Iuz is dead (his corpse now held within the Undervault of Greyhawk Citadel). The game kicks off 13 years after the war.

That and it's that the action phase replaces adventure with sit in town for a week making said reward. It's subjective, but that's not what I want in my games.
