Sanded everything again and still more spots to fill. Utterly exhausted, but it has to be completed tomorrow or no painter. Arms and back are aching and I'm worried I might hurt myself, otherwise I would've pulled another midnight sanding job.

I haven't been posting renovation updates lately. I'm up until midnight every night mudding and sanding drywall but also I am trying not to think about the kitchen floor the contractors messed up. I'm filled with stress and adrenaline over what we might have to do to get it fixed.

Just had a big group of teenaged girls - I excitedly (genuinely) said "holy shit!" to twin girls dressed as the bloody twins from The Shining. They were clearly excited at that and tried really hard to stay in character. Had about 20 kids so far. #Halloween2025

We're getting by ok watching a Michael J. Fox classic. Only THREE kids so far. The construction trailer in the driveway isn't helping.

Chucky's Punch is excellent. It reminds me of something I had as a kid, probably while visiting the U.S. since we never got to have special drinks at home, ever. But I can't figure out why it's so familiar.

Update: we have a bathroom door and grouting is complete! Just needs to dry.

Update: contractor has f'd up. Our beautiful closet doors were supposed to be single lever pulls with magnetic catches. They drilled them out and used up our supply of normal levers. Not enough to finish now.
On the upside tub creaks were fixed by screwing additional tapcons into the tub framing.
