I'm shocked & saddened to hear of the passing of Tomonobu Itagaki, who helmed not just the Dead or Alive series but, more notably to me, the Ninja Gaiden revivals on Xbox & Xbox 360.
Ninja Gaiden – especially NG Black – remain perfect. I reviewed NG2 for OXM & still have my disc. RIP Itagaki-san 🥷

LOL does anyone else’s dog get dramatic like this? 😂 Lily the Silly Labrador puppy pretends she doesn’t want to go on walks…but then has an awesome happy time when we get out the door. (And yes, her equipment all fits correctly; nothing is too tight. She’s comfortable!)

Bittersweet (but absolutely delicious) lunch today: smashburger from Wursthall, which is about to close, washed down by a Hell or High Watermelon from 21st Amendment, which is also about to close. Farewell to both of these awesome local Bay Area businesses. 🍔🍺

I fired two of my best pizzas yet in the Ooni Karu 12 last night. They were made from extra dough I’d made the previous weekend and froze, so I honestly wasn’t sure how they’d turn out. Added Mike’s Hot Honey for the first time ever on the pepperoni. Yum! 🍕

Whoops I totally forgot this was out today amidst all the Silksong hype! Happy Silksong Day to all celebrating, but I’m gonna dive back into my 2024 GOTY. Hope this DLC is as good as the base game!

Made pizza in my Ooni oven for a neighbor over the weekend and whew! They turned out well (maybe a touch too “well” in a few spots…). It’s a little extra pressure when I’m serving them to people other than my wife and kid. 😜🍕

Happy 8th birthday to my soul dog, Daisy! She is the best four-legged companion I could ask for. Here she is 1) Thinking a lawn gnome peeking up from above a gate is another dog, 2) enjoying a birthday Pup Cup from Salt & Straw, 3) spotting a squirrel, 4) hanging with Lily. ❤️🐶
