Now another thought: has anyone considered that maybe this obsession with wealth accumulation can be easily explained?
To me, it seems obvious. It's nothing more than an expression of the "alpha-male syndrome."
These people are using money as peacock feathers. How else to explain the obsession?

Best I can figure, the only thing the Republican party has actually been about, since around 1970, is transferring as much wealth as possible from the "undeserving" to the "deserving."
With "deserving" defined as "Someone who already has way more money than they even know what to do with."

Sure, technology could make it possible but:
1. It will take years, at best, to even begin to solve this problem.
2. Even if successfully implemented, the cost of greenhouse-grown coffee, for instance, would likely be far higher that simply paying the tariffs.
