Autistic & Dyslexic - Scifi & Fantasy Author - Archery, Gold Panning & Pokemon Cards
~~~
Book of Ominiue - Mature first contact scifi & fantasy (First works: a bit cringey but I love it)
Skyship of Truskal - A Terry Pratchett ripoff fantasy
It's frustrating and maybe not what the author wanted.
Not sure if it's expansive (being Aussie and all). But mine is listed more than that in the UK. Not through choice. I have it listed at "x" value based on what I'd expect in Australia, and for some reason once they hit the online shops they're even more than what I list.
Lol, was thinking around the same lines. Some 70s book covers were certainly ... questionable.
But I love that author, and haven't seen anything outright sexist from them, so fingers crossed.
100% AI, thus my smartarse-ness.
should've also screenshotted the original emails. It had the sickening AI politeness and wordiness.
Ironic, I got another book club email thing today, and it was actually written by a person, no pretending and to the point. It was unusual.
Not too bad at all. Better than I'd have done coming into it blind xD
It's a full blown space fantasy/classic fantasy mix (With some proper scifi moments in between) <<< but that makes it sound a lot cooler than it really is xD
100% I try and pick the older covers whenever I see them (and if I can't, I stay on the look out and replace them when I can)
I might do well, but that's a very small hope. A fools hope. We'll see. I'd be super happy if I land in the 3rd Round. Sounds like from there onwards is for well received works.
I mean, I get it. The most professional book should be held up high. But I was hoping that other strengths in a work would also have equal footing, at least at the beginning. I feel like I've been punked.
