I still have all myold Sunsets… all marked up, dog eared, and adorned with post-its. Wasn’t it a game changer when they switched to pictures instead of plant drawings?

I have two kids in public school: Educators are no longer teaching math as its own language. They translate the concepts into words & visual cues. They ask kids to conceptualize it with writing & allow approx. answers. The result is kids are able to think about math, but don’t think mathematically.
