In between the horrors occurring in the US and beyond, and the usual teaching/graduate admissions at this time of year, I've been enjoying a surprisingly good cup run in @officialfpl.bsky.social, entering in the round of 8.4M and now headed to the round of 8192 after 10 wins and considerable luck!

Looking forward to playing our monthly jazz set at The Red Lion, Steeple Aston next week (Thu 23rd) with Ernesto Macaro on tenor sax, Alan Stubbersfield on bass and myself on keys. Lovely village pub with good food, no cover charge.

An epic but hugely enjoyable journey to the @SO_CHIC_EU summer school in Corsica starting in Oxford via Paris and Marseille, with a practise climb on my @BromptonBicycle ahead of the big one tomorrow. Now on the overnight ferry to Ajaccio, sadly not as green as I’d like.

Applications to attend the @SO_CHIC_EU Southern Ocean Summer School in Corsica, 7-18 May 2024, close 31 Oct. This promises to be a great school in a beautiful location. A green travel option from the south of France on a sailboat is being considered.
