I think that'd be fun. Not sure how I'd want to map them though. Blue->Water, Red->Fire, and Green->Grass is pretty easy. But White and Black, I would have to think about. I'd probably go Electric and Psychic for nostalgia. But Steel and Dark might be better.

I agree that a true infinite turn loop shouldn't be considered any different then other win on the spot infinites. I think part of the nuance comes from when you are chaining turns or combats without a guaranteed win. A person playing while others watch might fit the intent of a game in bracket 3.

Always happy to see Akane Banashi get some love. The way it uses traditional shonen tropes and story structure but applied to art is so cool. I'm already reading half of these so I should give the rest a shot. Magilumiere in particular, I meant to pick up after I watched season 1 of the anime.

rpgbot.net is a good resource if you're looking to play an optimized character. They have a section for the updated 2024 versions of stuff but not sure how fleshed out it is. The existing 5E stuff is still pretty relevant also.
