I'd strongly disagree that the exciting OT to being relegated to a tiebreaker column in the standings, rather than as a full point, is benefiting fans, or anyone else.

They’ve been pretty clear about how they feel about extending OT. If they “deincentivize” OT, it would seem incredibly likely they moan.

True. But, a Pettersson-Barzal trade leaves you no better off than you were before, and likely worse. A team that has 2 Top-4 defensemen doesn't need to worry too much about chemistry at this point. Might need to fix the D first.

Also, we can't be stupid enough to actually trade Pettersson right? That's an unforgiveable move. Trade Miller, Boeser, whatever. You can't move Petey or Hughes or you're back to square one.
