More copilot slop?

🤢

Definitely. Where I live the municipality cant fine drivers, only the police can. So they fine scooters fml

limit the speed further*
October 17, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Just saw this but i got a 300$ fine last month for riding a bird scooter without a helmet. One of my arguments against it was they should just the speed further and not have us wearing helmets

Is this worth a listen? Sounds kinda sponsored, click baity and needs some serious proof if true.

This thread is gold. Thanks for some much needed validation

All these + the fact that, for me , coding with ai isn’t enjoyable makes it an easy choice to ditch
October 12, 2025 at 9:29 PM
It’s so fucking annoying. And it’s instead of dev time going into things we actually need
October 10, 2025 at 10:25 PM
Wouldn't say cringing is the word, trying to be empathetic to myself but I get you. My comment’s timing was definitely off and out of ai frustration.
October 10, 2025 at 7:24 PM
It’s ok to disagree. I listen to syntax, it’s overall a great listen. Except when you’re praising ai. You did have a couple of banger eye-rolling statements about it.
October 10, 2025 at 7:15 PM
I think that working on tools like you did is very valuable. I just chose the route of determinism with neovim, lsp, snippets, tmux etc. and learned a ton through out. It’s cool that you mush have learned stuff during this too.
October 10, 2025 at 6:32 PM
Yeah I like talking shit about ai as much as folks like to hype it, I think the balance needs to shift towards more realistic views. My comment wasn’t meant to be offensive towards you, rather towards ai.
October 10, 2025 at 6:30 PM
I’m saying this if i extrapolate it to a realistic scenario then it’s slop.
October 10, 2025 at 5:31 PM
the bandwagon has a lot of hurdles to go through still. Reducing cost by a lot, the bubble collapsing, people learning ti mistrust ai more and more, environmental concerns etc.
October 10, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Thats what i love about code. Its deterministic. I totally dislike non determinism in my IDE.
October 10, 2025 at 5:21 PM
It doesn’t in that case. But now you have a slop generating friend that WILL autocomplete stuff that fall under guess work for me. You contrived example that doesnt have any context isnt realistic.
October 10, 2025 at 5:20 PM
For me it says your priorities are not aligned with mine. I personally like it when products don’t jump on the bandwagon of ai. It comes instead of bugs, deterministic features etc. I’ve worked for wix and seen some shitty product decisions. I have a hunch a copilot is like this.
